Fan blades are cast from a high quality primary alloy. This provides for
the greatest possible metallurgical control and highest integrity in the
casting. The blades are heat-treated to give them increased strength.
Mechanical, chemical and radiographic (x-ray) testing is also performed
to ensure optimum quality. The result is a highly corrosion-resistant
blade offering extended service life under a wide variety of demanding
operating conditions.
The
precision-machined fan hubs feature retention sockets for locating and
securing the fan blades. Most fan models offer the option of adjusting
blade angles to optimize performance for specific applications.
